A bit too futuristic, but it's a great concept!

Last night, while browsing threw the internet, I came acrosse this very intresting article. Apparently, microsoft is paring with I don't know how many other companies, including "UK guide dogs for the blind", to creat this really innovative peace of technology, which would allowed blind people to get an incredible amount of information about our environment, as well as many other cool things. As UK guide dogs puts it,
We believe that technology has huge potential to transform the ways in which blind and partially sighted people get out and about. That is why we've worked with Microsoft to develop a concept of how things might look soon, if we all pull together to make our vision a reality.
And here's a vidio demonstrating what this new device would do. Personally, I find its a bit too obtimistic, and even though it would be great if this thing existed, I see to main problems.
1, How much would it cost? I mean, if a screen reader costs like a thousand dollars, I don't want to imagine how much would an incredibly complicated device as this one cost.?
2 Some of the ideas are incredibly difficult to achieve, like when it tells the guy the exact location of his train compartment and seat...
I really hope this thing will eventualy exist, and I hope it will be afortable enough to buy it.

Taking french classes!

’m gonna start by saying that I’m a complete jerk.
I planned to post this yesterday, but I accidentlly saved this as draft instead of publishing it, I’m now editing this post.
So, I don’t know if I have posted about it, but I’m taking French classes.
I really like them, its so cool to learn a new language, I’ve been taking them for about a year , an I must say I’m good.
I’ve had two teachers so far, a woman an a man, the woman is really nice, she loooooves to read, so for the last months I’ve read like 4 books in French.
As for the man, he isn’t our teacher anymore, he was nice, but I think he liked me a little.
Oops, shouldn’t of said that…
Well… hope he doesn’t read here.
I think nobody does, but I don’t really care, I enjoy posting.
I’m gonna post something in French, an then translate it to English.
Salut, Je M’appelle Cecilia, j’aime la lecture, le chocolat, les chiens, voyager, ma famille, et la technology.
Je suis aveugle et je veux aller au gdb pour un chien.

Hello, my name is Cecilia, I love to read, chocolate, dogs, to travel, my family an technology.
I’m blind an I would love to go to gdb for a dog.
Hope you enjoyed it.

Gdb?, Blogs?.

HI:
Today I’m gonna talk about the two first blogs I read that talked about gdb.
The first blog is:
Vida de viena
This blog was written by a puppy raiser, before reading this blog I knew nothing about gdb.
Thanks, (…) for writing this blog, sometimes, we don’t know the impact our writing will have on others.
I’m learning to use the white cane, you can’t imagine how much I wish to apply for gdb.
I’m a bit sad because this person doesn’t write anymore.

The second blog is:
in the center of the roof
This is the first blog that I read written by a handler.
The first post I read was the “wate until you get your dog” post.
A post I loooooove , I don’t rememberit’s name right now, but it’s a post about not being allone when you have a guidedog.
Thanks ro, for writing your blog.

Guide dog potcasts.

Today I came acrosse some really fun an pretty potcasts.
Ok they are from gide dogs for the blind (gdb) the organization where I wana get a guidedog!
This potcasts are about everything from puppy raising, volunteers, training with a guidedog to alumnai testimonium.
There is one potcast (my favorite) this potcast is about a  guidedog user who goes to schools giving testimonium about blindness an guidedogs.
He talks about:
Using a white cane  really sucks! I totally agree.
How guidedogs make a huge difference in blind people.
How he became blind.
An many, many other things.
But this potcast is the funniest I’ve ever heard!
I really really recommend it to you, that, an all gdb’s other potcasts.
So if you are interested hear is the link:

What is it with peta?

A few days ago I came acrosse this stupid article peta posted a year ago.
This article is about blind people an guidedogs.
Really what where they thinking when they wrote that?
The article is about how gidedogs are blind people slaves, how they work 24/7, how they don’t get time to just be a dog.
I don’t know why I’m that angry with that article but really ug that sucked!
So if you are interested in this article just click hear:
http://www.petconnection.com/blog/2009/01/10/guide-dogs-for-the-blind-peta-staffer-says-forget-it/
Sory I know this is a really short post but this day was uneventful.
