Ceci's books

I decided to do this at least once a week, it will be called, “Ceci’s books”
An our first book is:

One hundred years of solitud.
Written by Gabriel Garcia marquez, an published in 1970.
Born in Colombia, march 6 1927.
This magical realistic man, is the author of many wonderful novels, an between those, one hundred years of solitude.
This story takes place in an imaginary remote Colombian town, named Macondo.
According to Garcia Marquez, this town an name where inspired when one day, traveling by train to return to Colombia, he passed a townless station, an near it, there was a poster announcing a banana company named Macondo.
The story talks about the Buen Dia family, beginning with Jose Arcadio Buendia, Macondo’s founder with some other men.
Then it goes to his suns, Aureliano an Jose arcadio Buen dia.
An the sons grandsons, in a twist of couples, lies, love, loneliness, an lost dreams an hopes.
The story starts like this:

MANY YEARS LATER as he faced the firing squad, Colonel Aureliano Buenda was to remember that distant afternoon when his father took him to discover ice. At that time Macondo was a village of twenty adobe houses, built on the bank of a river of clear water that ran along a bed of polished stones, which were white and enormous, like prehistoric eggs. The world was so recent that many things lacked names, and in order to indicate them it was necessary to point. Every year during the month of March a family of ragged gypsies would set up their tents near the village…
As you can see, the story traps you from the beginning, the context in witch it takes place, is great, an how this author decided to beggin his story, an not with the usual "once upon a time".
Had you ever seen a story startting by the middle??This book won the nobel Prize in Literature.
If you’re intrested, you can read it here:
